19th Street

We start out walk at 19th Street and Broadway Avenue. We'll be looking at the north side of the street. The building to the left is on Western Ave. It is the Fitzgerald Building, built in 1895. It was originally, Fitzgerald Saloon and Restaurant. Most people will remember Wolf Furniture being here, and later Helig Meyers. Today it's Video Review. The parking lot next to it was where the Opera House Saloon stood. In the 1960's the bus depot was in this building. It was torn down in the mid 1990's.To the right, City Hall can be seen in the background. Lynch's Saloon sat where the Villa Pizza billboard is. It was razed in 1987.
